Tournament Safety
The NExT Region cares about the health and safety of our volunteers and participants and their families. At this time, the NExT Tournament is planned to be an in-person low contact event.
Teams may request to have no audience in their Team Challenge performance. If a team requests this, only the appraisers, team, and team managers will be in the room. All teams must respect other team’s wishes and comply with appraiser instructions.
N95 masks will be available for volunteers, participants, and attendees. We expect all people at the tournament to be respectful, responsible, and proactive about health and safety guidelines.
Appraisers will reset rooms after each team performance to clean the space. Attendees and teams must exit the room between performances.
Per CDC guidelines, if any team members, Team Managers, supporters, or volunteers test positive for COVID-19 or begin COVID-19 symptoms within 10 days before the tournament date, the sick person should not attend the tournament.
Per the Rules of the Road, if any team members, Team Managers, supporters, or volunteers are sick within 48 prior to the NExT tournament, the sick person should not attend.
Quick Facts
Only one Team Manager (or Assistant Team Manager) can accompany the team to the Instant Challenge.

Volunteers
It takes a team.
The Tournament is not possible without the generous support of more than 200 volunteers!
Junior Board
A big thanks goes out to the NExT Region Junior Board members. These high school students are former or current DI participants who give back to our organization by volunteering in numerous ways. They develop our shirt and pins designs, working with local vendors. The Junior Board also runs the DIme Store - start to finish. And our Junior Board members volunteer at DI events throughout the year. What an exceptional group! Find more info here.
