Team Registration FAQ

I have a team number. Doesn't that mean that I'm registered?

No. Obtaining a team number is just the first step. Please see the tutorials on the Registration page for the complete process.

 

What information will I need in order to completely register my team?

For each of the team members you will need their: full name, date of birth, grade level, and school. you will also need your volunteer's name, email address, and phone number.

 

Can I fill in part of the information and come back to do the rest?

Yes. As long as you click save, your information will be retained and you can finish at later time.

However, you will not be able to add or change any information to the TexasDI registration once you click the box that says "Team information complete and I am ready to continue with Registering for my Regional Tournament." After clicking that box, you will need permission from a Regional Director to make any changes.

 

What are an appraiser and a volunteer? Is this the same person?

Once a volunteer attends training, they are called an Appraiser. Please click here to learn all about Appraisers.

 

Are we required to order shirts and/or pins?

Not unless your team advances to the State Tournament. For most teams, these items are purely commemorative souvenirs.

 

How do I add an Assistant Team Manager(ATM)?

First, the Assistant TM will need to go to the TexasDI website and create an account. They need to be sure and click the box marked "Team Manager," choose "NExT Region" from the dropdown menu, and then click "Save."

Next, the Team Manager needs to log in to the TexasDI website and open their team's registration. In the field marked "Team Manager 2 User ID," the ATM should appear and can be added.
